Protection of the lakes on mount Durmitor

Abstract

Mount Durmitor and the town of Žabljak as a unique hub of Montenegro, the first ecological state in the world, must also base their identity on the lakes in which they see their reflections multiplied as in crystal mirrors. The more thoroughly we learn about the lakes and evaluate them in a proper way, the more dazzling they appear to be. The lakes are not all that numerous. They will not be there for ever. They are evolutionary water bodies of low selfpurification potential.
